DeMarcus Cousins’ tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers has come to an abrupt final as the Purple and Gold have waived the center to make room for their new addition Markieff Morris.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne, the Lakers are parting ways with Boogie, who didn’t play a single game with the team.

They were seen as the biggest favorite to sign Markieff Morris once the Detroit Pistons decided to buy him out on Friday. The Lakers had a full, 15-player roster currently, and as a result they had to cut someone to make room for Morris.

In the end, they decided to cut Boogie, who will keep wandering around the league until he finds a new team.
Morris is averaging 11 points per game while shooting 39.7% from 3-point range this season.
