Draymond Green has never been known for keeping his emotions hidden. Throughout his NBA career, the four-time champion has built a reputation as one of the league’s most intense competitors, someone who never backs down from a confrontation.
According to Anthony Davis, getting that side of Green to emerge is surprisingly easy.
Speaking about an episode of his prank show “Foul Play,” Davis explained how little it took to push Green over the edge during one of the show’s most viral moments.
“The thing is though, you don’t have to do much,” Davis said while laughing. “Dray, I love you. Don’t take this the wrong way. But you don’t have to do much to get Draymond riled up.”
Davis then revealed the exact formula.
“Just say that he’s in the G-League. He’s G-League capable. He doesn’t have the money. As soon as I said that, all hell broke loose for him. And he gave us what we needed.”

That simple line became the centerpiece of one of the funniest moments from the series.
The prank revolved around Green attending what he believed was a legitimate investment meeting. Davis, LeBron James, and agent Rich Paul secretly set up the elaborate scenario, convincing Green that he was discussing a major business opportunity.
At first, everything seemed normal.
Then the actors running the fake meeting began questioning Green’s financial status. When he admitted he did not have $100 million available to invest, they started mocking him and suggesting he was not wealthy enough to participate.
Things escalated quickly.
One actor even told Green, “This ain’t the G-League,” a comment specifically designed to challenge his status and ego.
The reaction was immediate. Green stood up and threatened to leave the meeting before delivering some unforgettable responses.
“I’ll punch you in the f***ing nose,” Green warned one participant.
At another point, he declared, “Y’all got the wrong Black motherf******.”
The Warriors veteran looked fully prepared to confront everyone in the room before Davis and LeBron finally stepped in to reveal the prank.
The moment instantly went viral across social media. For Davis, the prank worked perfectly because it highlighted exactly what NBA fans already know about Green. Few players compete harder, care more about respect, or react faster when they feel challenged.
Apparently, all it takes is one G-League joke and a comment about money to bring that side out immediately.
